Standards for data
DecMecs transforms flowrates into ML, the standard format for working with water licences.
1 ML is 1.000.000 litres of water. Depending on the diameter size and flowrates we re-calculate measurements to fit the 1 ML standard. What you see on screen is the format changes to reflect how water planning is made during a given water year, allowing for smoother planning and documentation to water authorities and water brokers.
The National Measurement Institute (NMI) is Australia’s peak body responsible for measurement standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability in measurements across various sectors. Stockpile Hydration follows the requirements set out by NMI on flowrate metering for water and the requirements by NRAR.
