The Department of Environment, Energy, Climate Change, and Water (DEECCW) in Australia is responsible for developing and implementing policies to address environmental challenges, manage water resources, and promote sustainable energy practices and focuses on policy development, environmental conservation, sustainable water management, and climate change initiatives, including regulatory frameworks for water use and ecosystem protection.
DEECCW drives overarching environmental and water policy, the ACCC regulates water markets, and the MDBA focuses specifically on the sustainable use of the Murray-Darling Basin.
