IGWC

Inspector-General of Water Compliance

An Independent Task Force in the System and its Stakeholders

The Inspector-General of Water Compliance (IGWC) is an independent authority in Australia tasked with ensuring accountability and transparency in the management of the Murray-Darling Basin's water resources. Established under the Water Act 2007, the IGWC works to uphold compliance with the Basin Plan, water-sharing rules, and environmental water use standards, fostering confidence in the water management framework among stakeholders.

Beyond enforcement, the IGWC emphasises collaboration and education by providing guidance to water users on meeting compliance requirements. Its role is pivotal in addressing concerns over equity, resource sustainability, and the environmental health

Stockpile Hydration's Secure Reporting Systems

Stockpile Hydration technologies can significantly support the Inspector-General of Water Compliance (IGWC) in monitoring and managing water use across the Murray-Darling Basin in local regions. These combined systems, designed to optimise water usage for grains, cotton, and mining outputs, ensure precise calculation of water volumes applied to prevent overuse or waste.
